I’ve yet to see anyone hit the gym in heels outside of a hilarious Crossfit deadlift video, so I’d say the periodic Christian/MGTOW/Incel backlash against revealing attire in gyms is a lot of shutting the barn door after the donkeys have already broken into your house and fucked your wife, so to speak. This issue seems to have been settled a century ago.

Hilariously, that contingent used to rail against women’s wearing of high heels (which began in the 1500s, adapted as a fashion from Persian horsemen) because it was deemed overly masculinizing… but then, during Enlightenment the men turned the tables on those heel-wearing bull dykes by announcing that they were men of Science and Logic and above such silliness and extravagance as heels, which they deemed only fit for irrational and foolish women (Source). As such, it might seem odd that in Massachusetts in the 1700s, women caught wearing high heels were to be treated as witches- an irrational reaction, to be sure.

Also, I never thought that exercise bikes had any kind of metering system before the digital age, and it turns out I was wildly incorrect.
